River runs beautiful ! Great
November rains!
In November we had great rains, all lush and green, the small jock's creek is running
through the Christmas holidays and it's looking good!
The river is running on a very nice level due to water being transfered into Warragamba
dam. This is running nicely past our door step and makes great conditions for fishing, swimming, canoeing or just to look
at it.
A great time to come camping.
Camp Oven Cooking Seminars in Forbes at the 13th National Caravan Rally
On New Years day 2008 Ina went to the Forbes Caravan Rally to teach 20 Caravaners
per day the ropes around Camp Oven Cooking. Daily seminars included 3 different dishes being cooked by Ina and the participants
with HeatBeads on Cast iron Camp Ovens. Meals were varied from Bread and Damper to Lasagne, Pizza, Apple Turnovers,
Shortbread Cookies, Potato Bake, Apples in Blankets, Baked Dinner and Nut Log. New and old hands at Campoven were equally
happy and satisfied with ina's detailed instructions and enjoyed their day. Some said it was "the highlight of the rally"
to them. On Saturday Ina also taught 30 kids and their parents how to cook Damper, "PoorKnights" and Pizza Slices.
The Rally raised almost $ 16 000.- for thr Royal flying Doctor Service, our Cooking
Classes fees sponsored ~ $ 500 towards it, too.
A great week of hard work and lots of fun and many happy people with full bellies!
"Convoy for Kids Family Day" is coming up again!
The "Convoy for Kids" is coming up on the 15 October 07, Olympic Boulevard
, Sydney Olympic Park, from 9 AM till 3 PM.
Come and visit us there and have some delicious Shortbread Cookies or Fruit-Damper
with hot Billy Tea !
To assist the " Convoy Kids" we will ask you for a Donation so please give some to help
the Kids in need. All proceeds will be donated to the " Convoy". We do sell "Convoy Raffle Tickets " on the property for $
1 each - great Prizes to be won!
This is a new event for us( second time this year) and we are looking forward to see you
all there!!
